Breakdowns

Eventually and unfortunately vehicles will break down. It is a good idea to have reflective devices that can be placed to the rear of the vehicle to signal other vehicles of the breakdown. In any event, if the battery is not dead, turning on the four-way flashers is a great way to let people know that there is a breakdown.

Spare tires should be checked often to make sure there is plenty of air in it to insure a driver is not stranded especially in a place with little or no traffic. Keep a close check on the gas level. Have the vehicle serviced by a professional on a scheduled basis.

Being a member of an organization that will send service vehicles is a must. It is a good idea to have a cell phone that is properly charged.
